At WARDRobe we focus on the recovery and reuse of textiles, rather than just recycling.
How does textile reuse work?
We collect from a variety of locations across the UK including textile banks, schools and clubs. Working closely with local charities, local authorities and private organisations we offer a professional and efficient service. Collected textiles are carefully prepared for our different outlets, ranging from original product with the cream kept in to premium grade. These are baled into bottany bags at our dedicated 10,000 sq ft storage and warehouse facility and exported to destinations globally. Because we focus on reuse, we are always striving for the best quality reusable products and clothing which is suitable to be reused, rather than disposed of in landfill.
Our Textile Banks
WARDrobe services a large network of textile banks in the UK. Our textile banks are based in prime locations at car parks of local businesses, school premises and on council and private land. We work with our charity partners who benefit from our partnerships. We take donations of good quality clothes and shoes from members of the local community.
Why not use our Wardrobe map to find the nearest textile recycling bank to you?
We offer a bespoke service for each site ensuring that our banks are fully serviced and maintained due to the requirements of each site. For each collection our own team of drivers will visit, empty the bank and weigh the collection, this gives the site an accurate weight so they can monitor their banks success.
Business who have a textile bank on site receive payment for each kilo of clothing we collect. This can be an additional income stream for a business or donated directly to a charity of choice.
We continually re-invest in new technologies to ensure that our recycling banks are safe, vandal-proof and efficient. This process has a positive effect on landfill within the UK, with WARDRobe processing in excess of 200 tonnes of textiles every month.

Our Partnership Approach
At WARDRobe we work closely with our partners and forge sustainable working relationships. We are keen to find bespoke solutions which are as individual as our clients. We conduct full site audits and provide the appropriate number of banks per site and manage collections to meet the site requirements.
Supporting the community
WARDRobe is committed to making a positive and long-lasting impact in the communities in which we work, supporting many local initiatives including a mentoring scheme for new small businesses. We are currently partnering with “Bad Bambi”, an independent vintage and retro shop. Through this Wardrobe is investing in both the “High Street” and people. In return for our support, Bad Bambi have pledged to provide training for a mental health first aider for our community.
We’ve also built strong relationships with local community groups and homeless charities in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and South Yorkshire where we donate quality winter coats, gloves, scarves and clothing, collated through our textile collection and recycling services.
