Coronavirus & Christmas Update 17/12/20

From Thursday 17th December the Government has announced that, following a national review, the existing tier system will remain unchanged in most areas of the country, with more areas moving into ‘very high alert’ and only a handful of locations dropping into Tier 2 or 1.

For the latest information on local restrictions please visit: and enter your postcode.

Most areas where our business operates will remain in Tier 3, so we will continue to maintain the most stringent safety measures outlined in previous updates.

We will continue to support local and national businesses, while constantly assessing safety, reviewing advice and guidance from Public Health England, the Government and our industry bodies, including the British Metal Recycling Association (BMRA) and the Waste Industry Health and Safety Forum (WISH).

The next review is expected at the end of December 2020 and we will update our status accordingly if further changes are announced. Please visit: for detailed information.

Christmas Opening Hours

Throughout this year, the government confirmed that the metal recycling and waste management industry ‘is essential to keeping the country operating and supporting vital sectors and employers’.
