#TeamWARD had to pull out all the stops to hit the deadline for its first shipment of scrap metal to Turkey in 2019 or face a £15,000 cost for every day of delay. With 20,000 tonnes of metal to recover, process and load onto the 200 metre-long vessel, it was a race against time for brothers Thomas and Donald Ward and their teams.
Co-working and event space start-up, Works Social, needed a flexible and scalable waste management and recycling solution which could grow as its business did. Ward offered advice and support to help the Works Social team increase recycling rates, improve sustainability and achieve value for money from collections.
With an excellent working relationship, Robinson have been able to offer comprehensive advice to Ward Recycling throughout the build process. This included working with Ward on the design and layout of office space and micro-rib wall cladding alternatives.
For almost a decade, Ward has worked with Derbyshire Constabulary to support its work in cleaning up the community. At the start, we began offering a collection, removal and destruction service following drug raids. As our relationship has developed, we’ve expanded our range services become a trusted partner in the safe destruction of several items associated with serious crime and providing waste management services to police stations around Derbyshire.
When the UK’s biggest manufacturer of clay and concrete building products, Ibstock put its waste management out to tender for all of its sites nationally, Ward won the contract for the Midlands and Northern depots.
