WARD are looking for an experienced 360 Material Handler Operator to join our team in Ilkeston. You will be part of a hardworking team of Ward employees who support in the recycling of over half a million tonnes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals each year. Reporting to your Line Manager, you will carry out a range of duties across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating crane and other equipment in a safe, competent manner
- Monitor materials and report and non-acceptable material items
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
- Carry out general yard duties when required
Skills and Knowledge Required:
The successful candidate will have experience working as a 360 Material Handler Operator. Previous experience within demolition and a general knowledge of scrap would be beneficial. They will be self-motivated, hardworking, a team-player and be willing to work the occasional weekend when required. An NPORS Accreditation is preferred however not essential.
Your hourly rate will be determined by your skill and experience.
- Experience operating Crane / Material Re-Handler and other equipment in a safe, competent manner
- Monitor materials and report any non-acceptable material items
- Reform material pile to ensure most effective grab volume
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Experience operating various other plant and machinery (Beneficial)
