Jobs with a sense of purpose
Located across four sites in the UK, Ward provide a wide range of carer opportunities, ranging from being part of our day-to-day drivers, admin team, waste processing team to specialist engineers and sales professionals. We recognise that our staff work in some challenging conditions, so more important than any academic qualifications, we always look fora can-do attitude and the ability to pull-together as part of a team.
In collaboration with Derby College, WARD have launched a new apprenticeship scheme as part of our bid to recruit several new apprentices in the coming years. These roles can be anything between customer services, accounts administration, engineering roles.
The Ward Business Employer Academy is the latest addition to the Derby College programme to bridge the gap between education and the workplace and to better prepare students for the world of work.
This alongside this apprenticeship scheme, WARD are working with the BMRA (British Metals Recycling Association) to launch a Trailblazer scheme which is a bespoke training and apprentice scheme aimed at offering student’s key skills to work specifically within the metal recycling industry. This exciting new scheme will be launched in the next year and we are looking for students to fill these roles.
Both the Employer Academy and Trailblazer scheme is a great opportunity for students to gain valuable work experience and develop key skills in the metal and waste recycling industry which will offer them a great future within an industry that perhaps had not previously considered.
