Overview of the role:
Hours and location: 40 hours per week
The role will be based at WARDrobe, Ilkeston.
WARD have an exciting opportunity for an individual to take on a dual role at our textiles warehouse in Ilkeston. We are looking for an outgoing individual who will carry out warehouse operative and van driving duties.
Progression is offered within this role with the opportunity to take on supervisory and further responsibilities and increase your skillset through training and development offered.
Key Responsibilities:
The role of our warehouse operatives is to process used textiles from our clothing banks in preparation for sale. When carrying out work within the warehouse, you will be responsible for receiving, quality checking and packing goods – we pride ourselves on excellent quality so attention to detail is key!
When driving our vans, you will be responsible for collecting textiles from our clothing banks and assisting with unloading them into the warehouse. Great customer service and good time keeping are essential for this role.
Other duties include:
- Collection of textiles from various customer sites
- Unloading of vehicles containing stock
- Supporting the warehouse manager with stock management
- Preparing and quality checking stock
- Loading containers with prepared stock for sale
Skills and Knowledge Required:
The ideal candidate will have the ability to organise their time and prioritise their workload as well as the ability to work well as part of a team. The role is physically demanding as it involves lifting and moving heavy material.
A degree of flexibility surrounding hours and days is essential for the role.
- A full UK driving license is essential for the role
- FLT experience is essential. Valid qualification would be preferred but not essential.
