Vehicle Recovery Driver – 7.5 Tonne

Job Summary
Recycleacar.com has an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Recovery Driver to join our established scrap car recycling business, based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

As part of our environmentally-focused team, you’ll be responsible for collecting end-of-life vehicles from households and businesses across the East Midlands using one of our company recovery vehicles. You’ll play a vital role in helping us deliver a reliable, efficient, and sustainable recycling service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recover and transport scrap vehicles using a 7.5-tonne (Cat 1) recovery or flatbed truck
• Drive safely and legally at all times, following road and transport regulations
• Accurately complete all collection documentation and job paperwork
• Communicate professionally with customers during collections
• Maintain the recovery vehicle in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition
• Work independently and manage your daily workload efficiently

Requirements:

• MUST hold a valid 7.5 Tonne (Cat 1) Licence
• Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record
• Experience operating recovery vehicles or flatbeds preferred
• Familiarity with vehicle recovery techniques and equipment
• Good problem-solving ability and decision-making skills
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Pay & Benefits:
