Overview of the role:

Hours and location:  50 hours per week, 6am – 5pm however must be very flexible.

The role will be based at Immingham Docks.

WARD have an exciting opportunity for an aspiring 360 Material Handler Operator. The successful candidate will join us in a Site Operative role, working within a busy metal recycling team whilst gaining the skills and knowledge required to operate a 360 Material Handler. Training on the 360 Material Handler will be completed in-house and take place for at least 2 months. Once you are fully trained we sponsor you to gain the nationally recognised NPORS Accreditation.

Whilst training to become an operator, you will be required to carry out general Site Operative duties including site clearance and cleaning, assisting with maintenance, and other manual duties as requested by the Site Manager. The role involves working outdoors, all year round.

The ideal trainee must be flexible as shifts may include nights and weekends depending on vessel schedules. You will have the opportunity to undertake paid training outside of normal hours to further your skills and knowledge operating the 360 Material Handler. Upon gaining your NPORS accreditation and undertaking the role of 360 Material Handler, you will receive a salary uplift.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

No previous experience in a similar role is required however the ideal candidate will be willing to learn new skills and persevere.

The rate of pay will begin at £10 per hour and rise to £12 per hour upon gaining your NPORS accreditation.
