Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)

With the introduction of the Hazardous Waste Regulations in the UK the following electrical items were deemed hazardous:

  • Lead acid batteries
  • Cathode ray tubes found in televisions and monitors
  • Fluorescent tubes
  • Electrical equipment containing
  • Polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB)
  • Refrigerants
