The WARD Way

Our sustainability road map to 2030 is called The Ward Way. It’s our global responsibility to take positive steps to protect our environment and play our part to reverse the damaging effects of climate change.

As metal recycling and waste management specialists, our aim is to achieve zero to landfill wherever possible. Ward is a family business and we place great value on the importance of operating a way which is socially, environmentally, and economically resilient. We aim to deliver long-lasting social and economic development for future generations and the communities that we are a part of.

The Ward Way is our road map to 2030 and our commitment to sustainability across four key, interconnected pillars: i) Environment, ii) Energy and Carbon, iii) Social Value and iv) Economy. These pillars are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals which are the most material to our business.

By 2030, Ward has pledged to eliminate its contribution to climate change with an interim science-based target to reduce emissions by 47%.
